Predicted Snow

I have been admiring pictures of snow at my sister's weblog, http://www.stardel.com/fiveacres/index.php. Having been raised in Maryland, I miss the OCCASIONAL winter snow now that I live in Southern California.

I was quite surprised to learn today that snow is predicted later this week down to 1500 ft elevation in our area. We live at 712 ft (I justed learned this at Google Earth). We are at the base of the Santa Monica Mountains which rise to an elevation of 3000'. So, perhaps I will be posting snow pictures as well. I can't wait.
