Mount Charleston, Nevada

We ventured away from Las Vegas to Mount Charleston, located about 35 miles from downtown Las Vegas. The elevation is about 11,000 feet. It is an alpine environment. The air was cold and crisp, and quite fortunately for us, the aspens had turned a gorgeous gold color.
